Tackling Pests and Diseases Without Resorting to Chemicals

Allotments can be a reservoir for creatures that can damage crops, especially over the summer months. This session will cover ways to manage what some people call pests (and some diseases) in wildlife friendly ways. We'll look at physical barriers, encouraging natural predators, crop rotation, plant-based remedies, and creating a healthy soil ecosystem to boost plant defences and resilience.
